Join Shepherd Private Coaching for our inaugural Summer Camp Season!
This year we are pleased to offer summer camp for ages 6-8yrs, 9-12yrs, and 13-17yrs in musical theatre. Each camp course will centre around one musical/glee production, and will perform at the end of their session. Participants will engage in a friendly audition process, be assigned a role (or a few!), and will spend their camp time rehearsing their roles, learning blocking, choreography, and music!

Join us from September 13 - October 4 for our Music Makers Series : Build & Play. Our first instrument is the Lyre Harp! Class runs Mondays 4:30-6:00pm in the Performance Studio. All Materials are Included.
The lyre harp is a stringed instrument known for it's use in Greek classical performance, and through later periods. Recitations of poetry were often accompanied by lyre playing. Our lyre harps are 7-string, and traditionally played by strumming with a plectrum (pick) like guitars or zithers.

*Fall Programming Registration Fee is equivalent to ONE WEEK'S tuition and will be applied directly to the student's account. Families will be invoice on the 1st of every month for the upcoming lessons/sessions.
Music Makers Series : Build & Play
In this 4 week series, students will build their instrument, learn its history, and learn the basic fundamentals to play it!
$150.00 (4 weeks, instrument included)
Show Choir : $30.00/wk
This is a non-audition performance choir experience for youth aged 9-12 (JR Show Choir), and teenagers 13+ (SR Show Choir).
They will rehearse 1 x per week for 75-90 minutes.
JR Show Choir : Thursday 6:00-7:15pm : 33 weeks
ST Show Choir : Thursday 7:30-9:00pm : 35 weeks
Performing Arts Classes : $25.00 - $45.00/wk
Introductory and Advanced classes in all things performance! From learning the parts of the stage, finding your light, blocking, character development, to design, scriptwriting, advanced performance and vocal technique and more!
Classes will be offered in the following categories :
DramaTots (4-6yrs) : Saturday 11:00-11:45am : 33 weeks
Juniors (7-9yrs) : Tuesday 5:30-6:30pm : 33 weeks
Intermediates (10-13yrs) : Monday 6:00-7:30pm : 35 weeks
Seniors (14-17yrs) : Tuesday 6:30-9:00pm
MainStage Production: $85.00/wk : 13 weeks
Twice a year we will take on a MainStage Production. These shows will be full Musical Theatre productions, licensed to us by MTI or other professional licensing bodies. Participants will have full triple threat training (singing, dancing, acting). For each production we will either run TWO casts : a Junior (ages 6-12), and a Senior (ages 13+) OR a single MIXED AGE cast (TBD) depending on provincial class size regulations.
Wednesday 6:00-8:30pm AND Saturday 1:00-3:30pm
IMPROV : $30.00/wk
Say YES And... Learn the basics of stage comedy, improvisation, and sketch comedy. This class is geared at our Senior students to help expand their character development and resourcefulness and will be offered for 13+ only at this time.
Monday 7:30-9:00pm : 35 weeks

Performing Arts programming for little performers aged 4-6 years old. Participants will learn the basic building blocks of theatre; the parts of the stage, finding centre, entering and exiting, anthropomorphism, character work, beginner Laban technique and more!
Performing Arts programming for young performers aged 7-9 years old. Participants will build from the basic skillsets of DramaTots and grow from there; reviewing parts of the stage, finding centre, entrances & exits, Laban Movement Analysis, scene studies, improvisation, choral movement and more!
Performing Arts programming for youth performers aged 10-13 years old. Participants will expand on the basic skillsets of Jr. programming to explore character development, behaivour studies, storytelling for stage, non-traditional theatre spaces/site-specific performance, ritual, beginner vocal technique and more!
Performing Arts programming for teens and pre-professional youth aged 14-17 years old. Participants expand on the basic skillsets of previous programming and explore monologue development, scene/script writing, scene studies, classic to contemporary drama, Canadian drama, advanced vocal technique, acting for film, audition preparation and more!
Participants aged 9-12 years old will receive basic training in vocal technique, sound production, and choreography. This course will also focus on sight reading skills, music literacy and building harmonies.
Participants aged 13 years and older will expand their musical literacy, and vocal technique in this course. They will also receive more advanced choreography and song selection, while learning more advance theory.
Participants aged 13 years and older will learn the fundamentals of comedy, learn how to structure a joke, basics of sketch, as well as build characters, write scenes, and more!
We are currently in process to receive licensing to perform elf The Musical for our Fall MainStage Musical.
This course is a full production (casting, rehearsals, performance) of a musical theatre show, complete with lights, costumes, makeup and more! Young performers aged 7 years or older will learn the teambuilding skills of putting on a show. Please be advised this course rehearses TWICE weekly, and also includes a tech and production week (schedule TBD). Participants must be available for all performance dates.
60 Minute Voice Lessons are geared at returning/advanced vocalists aged 12 years and older. These lessons are one-on-one instruction in vocal production and technique. Students in these classes will learn classic repertoire alongside contemporary pieces, and expand their music literacy with introductory and advanced theory.
30 Minute Vocal Lessons are geared at aspiring vocalists aged 5 years and older. These can be both introductory or advanced technique and theory. For advanced vocalists in a 30 minute lesson, technical work and classical repertoire will still be expected.
30 Minute Piano Lessons are for aspiring - advanced musicians aged 5 years and older. These one-on-one sessions can be tailored to an individual's learning style and needs. Students can opt to take the exam route, or learn to play without the pressure of examinations.
A fast-paced 45 minute movement and music class for caregivers and their little(s) ages 0-4 years old. This class runs for 8-12 week sessions and focusses on fine and gross motorskill development through the use of musical play while reinforcing the bond and relationship between you and your little(s).
